Is eWeLink Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Voice Commands?

Learn more about eWeLink's compatibility of the most popular third party systems with voice command, such as Alexa and Google Assistant.

Updated over 3 months ago

Yes, eWeLink is fully compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and voice commands. This makes the eWeLink platform not only a powerful tool for smartphone-based smart home control but also a hands-free solution for automating daily routines via popular voice assistants.

With this integration, users can control lights, plugs, switches, and even scenes using simple spoken phrases—adding a new level of convenience and accessibility to the smart home experience.

1. Integration with Amazon Alexa

eWeLink supports native integration with Amazon Alexa, one of the most widely used voice assistant platforms. Once linked, Alexa can discover and control most eWeLink-compatible devices using voice commands or through the Alexa app.

How it works:

  • Users need to install the eWeLink Smart Home skill from the Alexa Skills Store.

  • The eWeLink account is then linked through the Alexa app.

  • Once connected, Alexa automatically discovers supported devices such as:

    • Smart light switches

    • Plugs and power strips

    • Fans and relays

    • Smart bulbs and dimmers

Example voice commands:

  • “Alexa, turn off the living room light.”

  • “Alexa, switch on the heater.”

  • “Alexa, set the bedroom lamp to 50%.”

  • “Alexa, activate good night scene.”

Alexa also supports routine creation, allowing eWeLink devices to be included in scheduled or triggered actions based on time, presence, or other conditions.

2. Integration with Google Home / Google Assistant

eWeLink is also officially supported by Google Assistant, the voice control platform behind Google Home smart speakers and Android smartphones.

How it works:

  • Users add the eWeLink Smart Home service from within the Google Home app.

  • Once linked, supported devices are automatically synced and can be assigned to rooms, renamed, or grouped.

  • Voice commands can then control devices through Google Nest speakers, Android phones, or any device with Assistant enabled.

Example voice commands:

  • “Hey Google, turn on the kitchen light.”

  • “Hey Google, is the coffee maker on?”

  • “Hey Google, run the morning scene.”

  • “Hey Google, turn off all devices.”

As with Alexa, Google Home enables custom routines and device grouping, allowing broader smart home orchestration using voice only.

3. Supported Devices and Features

Voice assistant integration works with most Wi-Fi-based eWeLink devices, including:

  • Smart Switches (1-gang, 2-gang, 3-gang, etc.)

  • Smart Plugs and Sockets

  • Relays and Wall Modules

  • Light Bulbs and Dimmers

  • Scenes (preset automations)

Zigbee devices connected through an eWeLink Zigbee hub (e.g., Sonoff Zigbee Bridge) are also accessible via voice control, provided they are paired through the eWeLink app and exposed to Alexa/Google.
